Harvesting Seeds

Last night we ate a large Black Krim tomato my boyfriend grew in his garden, and I harvested some seeds from it.  I have read that Black Krim’s will grow indoors.  They taste like heaven in a tomato!!

Drying those seeds to try out in my indoor garden.  The seeds stuck to the paper towel I used to dry them, so I am thinking they maybe need rinsed, then dried on parchment or something.  The experiments begin…

My experiments in indoor gardening…

I love to garden, and feel the need more and more to grow at least some of my own food.  I am going to experiment this Fall and Winter with indoor gardening.  I have a old pool house at my rental, which is in questionable condition, but I would like to try to grow some herbs and vegetables – like tomatoes, lettuce, peppers in there this winter.  I would love to make some salads and salsa this Winter from my indoor gardening adventures.

Indoor gardening will be an experiment, as I do not want to spend a lot of money on it, but I will buy some lighting, as the pool shed only has 1 window in the area I will use.  I will also slightly insulate and seal the shed to prevent bugs taking up residence in there.  I am excited to see where this project will take me.

Follow me along on my indoor gardening journey.
